Lola Masha is an engineer by training, a builder by instinct, and a leader with a strong commitment to impact. Her work reflects a deep belief in purposeful innovation, practical knowledge, and inclusive opportunity.
She believes access to knowledge, capital, and resources should not determine who gets to build something extraordinary. This belief shapes her work with founders, entrepreneurs, and impact-driven ventures across Africa.
Lola’s career spans strategy, technology, agriculture, mobility, venture capital, and entrepreneurship.
She began her professional journey at McKinsey & Company in Chicago, working in strategy and consulting. She later joined Google Nigeria, where she became one of the earliest Googlers in Sub-Saharan Africa and helped shape business development across the region.
Her leadership journey also includes OLX, Bolt, Babban Gona, Antler, and Periscope. Today, she channels over 15 years of experience into two key missions: building ventures that combine purpose with performance, and investing in the next generation of African founders as a Partner at Antler.
She also co-hosts Periscope, a podcast created to help Africa’s boldest entrepreneurs see what others do not and build what others will not.
Lola has a strong academic foundation in engineering, business, and corporate leadership.
She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
She also completed the Management of Technology program at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and holds an Institute of Directors (IoD) Certificate in Company Direction.
